Deserter

Jeff Parsons (Belchertown, MA)
Bright Cobalt Blue Metallic UCB Series (UA-
41096) with ULTRA H/S 4:1 Clearcoat (EC300)

Jeff repainted this Deserter, originally
manufactured sometime in the early 1970s,
after rescuing it in pretty bad shape. Sits
on a shortened VW chassis. Has a 1600cc dual
port VW motor with dual kadron carburators.
It had tilt steering. Full rebuild on the
chassis with all new suspension, brakes,
steering, etc. Floor pans are polished
aluminum diamond plate.

Though he calls himself a home hobbyist, Jeff
has knocked out quite a few paint jobs using
Kirker materials over the years, some of
which are in this gallery. Check out another
buggy he painted Bright Orange Metallic on
page 8. There's also a really unique kit car
(the Performance Yellow FiberFab Avenger on
page 31). Keep up the great work, Jeff!
